Merino, Ugly?

The Magic Of Our Merino

The magic of our merino…. For years I have talked about the wonders of our merino for travel. It can be worn in climates up to 25 degrees without feeling hot as it wicks the perspiration off your body without any nasty smells. It doesn’t crease when worn on long journeys and takes up such small space in suitcases…..leaving plenty of room for shopping ! I have just been on a northern hemisphere winter trip to be with family for a ‘real’ Christmas. To make the most of the distance I ticked something off my bucket list…….went to several European cities to experience the magic of small Christmas markets. This was my first experience of wearing Merino in below zero temperatures. Would it be warm enough? Should I be taking thicker tops? What was the worst that could happen?…I would have to shop for heavier tops! The black button wrap was used very early on. We had a long delay in Melbourne airport and I wrapped myself in it for warmth. Just fabulous! The next stop was Vienna….minus 5 degrees. I was toasty without wearing any bulk. My two layers of merino were just perfect under my puffer coat and when we went into any shops I knew I looked smart in my coloured Merino. Wearing the lightweight merino was just magic. Then we went to a concert in the Schonbrunn Palace, I simply draped my button wrap around my shoulders so when I took my coat off I felt quite glamorous. On trains or boats I wasn’t overheated and looked colourful and felt comfortable. Walking through Paris or climbing the Arc de Triumph the lightness of the merino under my coat was a joy. Even on the bleakest, damp days that the UK had to offer the merino was amazing. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css_animation=””][vc_column][vc_row_inner row_type=”row” type=”full_width” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]

So now I can say that our merino is just superb for travel….not only in spring or autumn climates but also in the middle of winter. Light, comfortable, and easy to care for. I wore 2 of the tops for 10 days each…can you believe that! They looked like brand new. No pilling, no creases and no smells.

Our Merino is Travel Magic.
