Ugly Merino Sheep....?

Aren’t Merino Sheep Rather Ugly?

As I start on this first blog of mine I am thinking….

1.) Who would want to know anything about Merino?

2.) Aren’t they rather ugly sheep that live in remote harsh conditions?

Well, Yes they are ugly in their own sheep way, but just like an ugly duckling can become a beautiful swan, from this ugly sheep comes the finest, most luxurious fabric. Because these poor sheep live in such harsh climates, they grow the finest wool but lots of it….and because the fabric is then made in NZ it is free of chemicals…yeay!

Just like we think (or should ) about what we put into our mouths, organic, free of sprays, natural. Did you know that when you buy “Merino..Made in China” garments, you are putting chemicals ON YOUR BODY, as these garments most certainly contain chemicals, hence why they are so cheap.  Scary huh? It’s true.

The cheapest of merino is used and coated in resins and chemicals to make it nice and smooth and easy to knit. You will notice no texture or “thick and thin” in these garments which proves what I am telling you. No wonder they are cheap to buy. What is that saying “you get what you pay for”? I won’t ramble but could go on for ages telling you about the nasties in these imported clothes.

What is that saying “you get what you pay for”? I won’t ramble but could go on for ages telling you about the nasties in these imported clothes. We LOVE COLOUR and try to keep on trend. The latest Paris Fashion week showed all shades of berry so of course we have berry in our array of colours. Of course we keep the classics like red and black. Ink is trending again this season. It makes a nice change to black but also goes well with black. When you choose a colour just check how it looks with your hair colour. Don’t forget that your eyes and skin tone should be taken into account too. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css_animation=””][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_row_inner row_type=”row” type=”full_width” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] Unless of course you are playing with colours in your hair (another “on trend thing to do!!). If you are a blonde or a brunette you will generally look pretty fabulous in our Mandarin or Berry. If you have dark brown hair try our ink. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_row_inner row_type=”row” type=”full_width” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2884″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”right” style=”vc_box_shadow_3d” qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css_animation=””][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner row_type=”row” type=”full_width” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text] If you have black hair red, Sapphire and Mandarin will probably look sensational, and of course for you red heads, our artichoke is made for you! For a real WOW factor why don’t you try our Button Wrap in Lemoncello? Amazingly it  looks pretty fab on several hair and skin colours. Did you know that the first merino sheep was imported here from Spain a couple of hundred years ago? I am going to sign off now before you fall asleep with boredom. My next blog will be showing you how great our products are to travel in as I will report my findings from a few European cities in the middle of their winter. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] Watch our video and see how to wear your Button Wrap.
