Since my last blog I have had another birthday and am moving ever closer to the next significant number. It makes making memories a daily task.
I have been thinking what the true cost of living is.
I acknowledge this is a really tough time for families, business owners, retirees…. none of us are escaping the huge rise in the cost of the necessities of life
But I am thinking to not live life fully and to not be valuing each moment must be the true cost of living.
Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
I have just spent a week in Brisbane making new memories.
Waking at sunrise to go for a walk on the beach feeling the sand between my toes before a delicious swim in the ocean followed by a great coffee… those mornings are memories now. Memories that will draw me back.
Watching my daughter’s apartment becoming a home as we unpacked the container with our furniture from our last home in Red Beach. Another great memory.
To love. To be loved.
From someone much wiser than me…….
“To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
Go on, go and make some great memories today.
