Features of our merino

We only use the most premium merino for your specially made OBR garments. Our merino is ethically produced and is luxurious to touch. 

Merino is renowned for its superior temperature regulation and moisture-wicking capabilities. This means your skin can breathe while you're wearing it and it will keep you warm in the cold, and cool in the heat! That paired with its natural odour resistance means you can wear your OBR merino garment over and over before it needs to be washed. 

Merino beats the myth that all wool is itchy. The merino we use is of a weight and micron that means it is soft against your skin. Merino wool is different to traditional wool garments in that the fibres used to knit it are finer, softer and longer, which in turn makes the fabric stronger.

Caring for your merino

Our merino garments are machine washable and will hold their shape. Wash your merino on a lukewarm wool cycle using a wool detergent, and iron on cool. 

Unfortunately, moths love merino nearly as much as we do! We suggest storing your merino garments together in airtight containers or vacuum sealed bags. Moths are attracted to sweat and skin oils - so if you are putting your merino away for an extended period, give it a wash prior following the instructions on the care label.
